4 ways I save BIG on kids clothes (And you can too!)

How and extra few minutes mean huge savings.

1. Find what you want, then find a coupon for it.

If you have a favorite site, fill up your shopping cart, then head over to yaysavings.com, put the site name in the search box to view the available coupons. Theres always at least one, and some can save you big bucks. You can also check out the Kids Apparel section for some sites that may carry the same products you see elsewhere but with much bigger discounts

2. Check Out Flash Sales Sites with Kids Clothing

If you have never used a flash site, it's basically a retail website that offers deep discounts on a small amount of products each day. These sites are where you'll see daily deals on toys, household items, and clothing for kids, women, and men, all usually about 80 percent off the retail price.

Popular flash sale sites include the following:

  • Zully: This site often offers 80 percent off retail prices on name brand clothing for the whole family and have a strong focus on childrens apparel. Plus, you can find shoes and accessories here, making it easy to buy a whole outfit while saving money.
  • ideeli: This caters to moms who love to shop while saving money. In fact, it offers mostly clothing for the men and women in your home, but you can still find great deals on cute kid clothes and toys. Expect to save up to 50 percent when you do some shopping here.
  • kidSTEALS.com: If you like getting a great deal without breaking the law, kidSTEALS.com - and its sister site babySTEALS.com - should be on your list of flash sales sites. These websites host "steals" twice a day, helping you get about 50 to 80 percent off retail prices.

3. Create a Registry

If you've got a baby on board, make a registry! Even if you aren't asking people to buy the items for you, you will likely get a coupon that you can apply to anything on the list. Retail stores like Babies R' Us, Amazon, Buy Buy Baby, and Target usually offer 10 to 15 percent off registry items with the coupon. Even if you're not having a baby shower, you can make a registry to simply keep track of the clothing and other necessities you will need, and of course you'll end up saving money, too.

4. Connect with Your Favorite Brands Online

Most retail stores have a social media page on Facebook, Twitter, and other popular sites. Taking a look online before you shop can alert you to deals you might not know about otherwise. In addition, if your favorite store asks you to join its mailing list, consider signing up since you can get special coupon codes not available to the general public. Some retail stores that offer sales alerts, coupon codes, and contests to win gift cards via social media or email include Crazy 8, Gymboree, Carter's, and Babies R' Us.
